Neal Auch
Arthouse Smut is the brainchild of the artist and writer Neal Auch. Some years ago, Auch abandoned a career in theoretical physics to pursue a lifelong interest in the darkest, strangest, and smuttiest corners of the art world. Since that radical career transition, his images have been exhibited in galleries, licensed for commercial ventures, and analyzed in fine art magazines. Auch’s prose publications reflect his broad interests and multi-disciplinary approach to creativity, running the gamut from horror fiction and absurdist erotica to personal essays and cultural analysis.
Auch is the author of two fine art books. These have earned endorsements from notable figures in the horror community, including Agustina Bazterrica (author of Tender is the Flesh), Matthew Stokoe (author of Cows), and Janice Poon (author of Feeding Hannibal: A Connoisseur’s Cookbook).
Arhouse Smut is a home for Auch’s experiments in pornography—the latest frontier in a career devoted to tackling low brow or taboo subject matter with a committment to detail and depth usually reserved only for the fine arts.
