Time for Print
-
I’m in the process of pivoting from creepy horror-themed art to focus on nude portraiture, boudoir photography, and fetish photography. In order to hone my skills and build up a portfolio of relevant images, I’m doing a limited number of “time for print” shoots. “Time for print” is photo industry jargon meaning no money changes hands. The idea is that this is a mutually beneficial arrangement: I get practice and images for my online galleries; the model gets free pictures for their social media / dating profile / OF / personal use / etc.

Although I have limited experience with models, I've been working as a professional photographer for a while. I’m the author of two fine art photography books. My still life imagery has been exhibited in galleries, analyzed in art magazines, and licensed for a variety of commercial endeavours, ranging from posters for a Paramount+ series, to album art for a noise rock band, to cover art for several horror novels. I’m also a published author of both fiction and nonfiction. Go here for a brief summary of my relevant professional accomplishments, along with links to completed works (where possible).

When I say that I want to take photographs, I mean exactly that and nothing more. This is not a date or a hookup. I’m comfortable with nudity, and I’m comfortable photographing scenes of a sexual nature. That being said, my role in any such scene is strictly as a photographer. My clothes will stay on and I will stay behind the camera. I will not touch you during the shoot, nor do I want to be touched. I will immediately block anyone who comes off like a creep in my inbox.

There are obviously some potential safety concerns associated with any kind of intimate photography project. It pays to be careful. If you want to meet up at a munch or elsewhere to get a read on my personality, that’s great. If you want to bring a partner with you to the shoot, that’s great. If you’d like to talk to models who I’ve worked with on boudoir-type shoots in the past, that can be arranged. If you’d like to take some other security precaution that I haven’t mentioned, that’s also great; just let me know what you have in mind so we can sort out logistics.

My primary goal here is to build a portfolio of sharable work. As such, if you’re not comfortable having your pictures posted online then this probably isn’t a good fit. If you need to keep your identity hidden, we can obscure your face with a mask or hood. (I’d prefer to avoid blurring faces in post-production if at all possible.) Note also that tattoos and other distinctive features can be removed in Photoshop (within reason). If you have specific privacy concerns or if you can’t have your face in public, I kindly ask that you please let me know before we schedule a shoot. I am happy to respect your boundaries, but I want to know what kinds of imagery can or can’t be shared online before investing hours into shooting and editing photographs.

I’m aiming to be as inclusive as possible. I’m happy to work with interesting adults of any sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, body type, etc, etc, etc. (Note that I’m a queer man and am particularly enthusiastic to celebrate other LGBTQIA+ folks.)
