Boudoir
The aesthetics of modern boudoir photography are largely shaped by social media trends, glossy magazine advertising, and restrictive heteronormative beauty standards. This project is born from a desire to eschew such superficial influences in favour of a more timeless aesthetic, inspired as much by the paintings of the Old Masters as by transgressive queer photographers like Jimmy DeSana and Robert Mapplethorpe. This project represents one particular attempt to take boudoir photography seriously as an art form.
